Thanksgiving Fun!

Casey, Tate, Bryan, Jaxson, Sydney, and Samantha came to our house for Thanksgiving.

Here are the 3 girls getting their toenails painted. They are all so girly, I was happy to have some girls for Ava to hang out with.

Thanksgiving Day was great. It was very casual and relaxing. The turkey turned out so good for a bunch of beginners. We had way too much food, which Dustin and I are still enjoying.

Ava and Samantha had their own table, and Samantha was taking lessons from Ava on how to eat.

Ava wouldn't even look up from her food to have her picture taken, I love that she eats so well. Here is the rest of the crew...

The day before Thanksgiving we went on the Tsanwaki hike, it was a blast.

Here is Ava taking after her Uncle Bryson. :)

I didn't realize how out of order these pictures are, anyway... After eating Thanksgiving dinner we went to a park in Los Alamos. Sydney and Samantha got to sit in Cinderella's pumpkin carriage.

The boys played minature golf at the park, you have to bring your own club and ball, and other than that it is free. What a great idea for a park!

Tate and I went black friday shopping Thursday night into Friday morning. I had never been before and had a blast. We got almost everything we wanted, except for the mini chopper and waffle maker at wal-mart which had a larger line than anything else in the store, it was crazy. We ended up getting home around 3am.

This Thanksgiving was great, Casey and Tate are like second parents to me (only much younger) because I lived with them for a while in high school. We love that they came and wish we could see them more.

First snow

Last week we had our first snow of the season. It wasn't much, and was gone by the end of the day, but the kids loved playing in it while they could. Ava wanted to wear Ian's jacket and cars hat, she totally looks like a boy.

They ate chunks of ice off the trampolene.

Fire wood and Trail Loop Hike

My dad and Ava were buddies while they were here. She was always with "Grandpa Rupret" (as she says his name). November 4th we went to get our first load of firewood with our new chainsaw. It was so fun, and a great chance for the kids to learn to work. Ian was an extremely hard worker, he loved stacking the wood in the truck.

Ava was scared of the chainsaw, so she stayed off to the side.

We brought a picnic lunch with us and ate it at this random park in the middle of the forest.

Next we went on the Trail Loop Hike at Bandelier. This squirrel was right off the trail.

This hike is cool because you get to go look in Indian ruins, and some houses.

I love Ava in these pictures, she is always peeking out under the bridge.

Tsankawi Hike and Santa Fe

November 3rd my parents, kids and I went to Santa Fe, to see old town. This was an extremely fancy door of the first church we went to.

This church is the oldest church structure in the U.S.A.

After Santa Fe we went on the Tsankawi Hike. This is one of my favorite hikes so far.
