Ian and I

I had to post these pictures Dustin took today because this is the last day that it will just be Ian and I. He's such a great little boy. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to his new sister tomorrow.

Getting ready for the baby

Here's the cute bedding Grandpa and Grandma Stirling got the baby (Grandma sewed the sheets). She also sewed up some brown sheets and another pink sheet. Thanks for the cute bedding! Today I have been washing all the baby's clothes and blankets, and packing a bag for the hospital. Then I went to the doctor at 3pm and was dilated 3 centimeters and 70% thinned out. I haven't gain weight in the last few appointments, and today I actually lost weight. So the doctor decided to do an ultrasound. It turns out that my amniotic fluid is low so I am being induced on Monday! We're excited to get this baby here and see what she looks like. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up on posting with two kids under the age of two!

Stirlings

Grandma and Grandpa Stirling (Dustin's grandparents) spent Wednesday and Thursday with us. And I must admit they spoiled us rotten. They wouldn't let me carry Ian or put him in and out of the car. I didn't even have to push him in the stroller. They also bought Ian a golf club and a mitt that has velcro on it for easy catching. We couldn't believe how good he is at golfing!! On Wednesday we went out to the Gorge Bridge. Here they are with the white Buffalo. We went to the petting zoo and Ian wouldn't even touch the animals.
Of course Ian had to go on the Merry-Go-Round. But he was too scared to ride on the horses. I get so sick on that ride, I'm happy they were willing to take him.

Grandpa Stirling went to 3 different shops trying to find Ian some icecream. See what I mean spoiled.

I also found out what we should get Grandpa Stirling for Christmas. He played basketball the whole time. Here is Ian with his new golf club. Here's a video of the boys playing baseball. Maybe Ian will take after the Stirling side and be an All-Star baseball player.
Thanks for coming out Grandma and Grandpa. We had a great time!

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Today we went to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. Needless to say, Ian LOVED it. So we ended up getting season passes which will pay for themselves only going twice. Unfortunately I lost our memory card for our camera that holds a lot of pictures, so this was all we were able to take.
It was awesome to get that close to the Giraffes. You can feed them and pet them.

The view of Colorado Springs from the Zoo. It is so beautiful there! The animals were all really active, this made it much more exciting for Ian.Of course Ian loved feeding the chipmunks the most.

Pregnancy Update

Yesterday I went to the doctor, and I am dilated 2 centimeters. I also found out that I have Strep B, so I will have to have antibotics when I go to deliver the baby. It will be interesting to see if this baby comes early or if the dilation is just a tease and I end up going over a week again. I will keep you all posted with my appointment next week.

Weekend with the Hucksteps

We had a great weekend with Andrea (Dustin's sister), Bryson, and Tori Huckstep. They drove all the way from Salt Lake on Wednesday. We started out Thursday by going down to the Riverwalk and we found a beautiful place to take pictures. So Bryson ran back to the car and got his camera. He took some Amazing pictures. I didn't include them all but here is a few samples. Tori and Ian did so great getting their pictures taken it was hilarious.

Next we went to the City Park and we had to pry the kids out of the swings when it was time to go.

Friday we headed down to San Isabel to go camping and we stayed until Saturday morning. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of the cabin. We did however get some great shots fishing. Dustin ended up catching 3 fish one of which he threw back and we think it died shortly thereafter.
This is my favorite picture of Dustin and Ian. Ian drags that blanket everywhere!!

What kid doesn't get super dirty while camping??

Tori also got pretty dirty but I don't think it can match Ian's face! She loved crawling around in the dirt.
This was the creek right behind our cabin. Love this picture!

Bryson also took these great pictures of our family, who would guess that the background was actually real and they weren't taken in a studio?

Also included in the weekend was a lot of Rock Band, (we meant to take some video of it but you know how that goes) some great food, and Tori driving Ian crazy in the car by putting her foot on his car seat, then laughing. It was great! By the end of the weekend Ian finally got used to having another kid around, and didn't run away every time Tori got near him. Thanks for coming out Andrea and Bryson, we had a blast!!

Somersaults

I thought everyone would like to see Ian's mad somersaulting skills!

San Diego

This past weekend May 28-31st I went to San Diego to visit for my last hurrah before the baby comes. I'm not sure when I am supposed to stop traveling so thankfully I didn't go into labor on the plane rides. In the back of my mind I always knew that Andrea's doctor was in Salt Lake (where my layover was) and Annesa's doctor was in San Diego, so I would be ok if anything happened. Anyway, Friday morning Annesa, Danika and I went to the Zoo. (They have season passes and a guest pass for me). After we picked up Kennedy and Madison from school Annesa gave me a much needed massage, it was sooo great to be able to lay on my stomach on her pregnancy pillow. Next we watched Kennedy in Gymnastics, she's amazing, she can do a back-hand-spring on the floor and she's only 7. That night we went out for sushi it was delicious! Although I can only eat the cooked stuff. Danika showed off her chopstick skills by eating rice with them. Saturday we spent the whole day just wandering through stores, I can't tell you how nice that is to do without kids. Thanks Jim and Dustin for watching the kids! Then I headed home Sunday morning. We also realized on Sunday that Madison's legs are as long as mine she has the longest legs of anyone I know! Everyone is growing up too fast. Thanks Annesa for the great weekend!! While I was gone Dustin and Ian made a fort to eat dinner in one night, and went to the movie "Up". They had a ton of fun without me. I was so happy to see how excited Ian was to see me, when I came over to the car he started screaming and laughing it was awesome!!

Annesa and Danika at the Gorillas, you can't see the baby Gorilla in the background.

Danika and I checking out the Hippo.

The new baby Giraffe.
There was a new exhibit, Elephany Odossy. It was really crowded.
Danika became my new best friend. She is able to say my name before her sisters. That made me feel cool.
Madison 11, Danika 22 months, Kennedy 7

Memorial Day Weekend

Friday morning May 22nd we woke up sad because we knew all of Dustin's family was going to be up at the cabin. I turned to Dustin and said I wish we could be there. Then to my surprise he said, "Lets Go!" I said are you serious and he said Yes. So I immediately started packing. We stopped by the store got Ian some new movies and headed out on our 9 hour drive. We stayed the night in Panguitch (my parents were in Oregon with Paul for his graduation) then headed over to Duck Creek the next morning. Needless to say I think everyone was pretty surprised. Ian was incredibly shy around everyone, it made me so sad. Also I thought I forgot my camera, Thanks Andrea for letting me take pictures with yours, however, I remembered when we were 2 hours away from home on the way back that it was in our stroller. We had driven through rain storms the whole way there and back. Thank goodness my camera still worked. The last two pictures are our pitstop on the way back. I was able to see my parents Sunday night and part of Monday morning, sorry no pictures are included of them. All in all it was a great weekend even with the long drive. The whole family on the Stirling side.

Ian loved playing outside with the Daija and Kayla
