Dustin's work Christmas Party

Last weekend we went to Dustin's work Christmas Party in The Springs. We won a gift card for a massage Whahooo! Guess who gets to redeem it? Anyway I was proud of the finger wave I did in the front of my hair, however you can't see it very well in this picture, hopefully we will get more emailed to us and I will post them.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This was our first Thanksgiving by ourselves. It was very weird. Dustin and I started potty training Ian that day so he was eating all kinds of crackers, pretzles and other snacks. So in the end he wasn't even hungry for Thanksgiving dinner (at lunchtime). So he and Ava went down for a nap and Dustin and I ate by ourselves. It was so quiet! By the way the potty training is going great. No more diapers for Ian except at night, Yay! So this year I am Thankful for Holly Llewellyn inspiring me to start potty training. Here is Ian the Pilgrim.

And Ava the Indian.

Remembering Grandma Hulet

On October 24 Ian, Ava, and I went to my Grandma Hulet's Funeral in Parowan, UT. My Grandma was a wonderful lady. Unfortunately I didn't know much about her childhood and her young adult life. I did however, write her a letter back in March asking some questions about her life. I waited and waited for a response but none came. Later I learned after I asked her those questions she started to write her history for me. While I was in Parowan I was able to get the notebooks she had written in. There is a huge stack of them. I can't wait to delve into them and find out more about my Grandma. (As long as I can read her hand writing). Anyway I was able to talk to her the Sunday before she passed away (she passed away on Tuesday night). My Dad and Uncle Leslie had just given her a priesthood blessing and she kept telling me how much she appreciated that blessing and how much she loved me. She also apologized for not getting her history to me, which was so sweet. I told her to give Grandpa a hug for me and she said she was so excited and couldn't wait. After Sunday night she was no longer coherent, I am so excited I was able to talk to her and tell her how much I loved her before she passed away.

My Dad was born and raised in this house. It has many great memories for my family.

Halloween 2009

Ian was a baseball player and Ava was a fish (thanks Annesa). On October 2oth we went to the Halloween Spooktacular at our Church. They had each class room decorated with a game. After the kid completed a game then they got a piece of candy. Ian had a temper tantrum in the hall because we wouldn't let him keep the golf balls from the golf game, Terrible Two's here we come.
On Halloween Ian, Ava and I were in Panguitch and my Mom and I took Ian trick or treating while my Dad watched Ava (I forgot her costume). At the first house Ian knocked on the door and Lori Veater gave him some candy, he got so excited and started jumping up and down saying "mmmmm". At the next house nobody was home and he would not get off the door step, he cried when I made him leave, he was so sad that no one was going to give him candy at that house. He figured out trick or treating pretty fast and had a blast.

Great G'ma and G'pa Croft got him some new sippy cups, a book, and G'ma made him a really cute blanket.

3rd Street Apples

On Friday for part of Ian's birthday we went out to Penrose, Co to Third Street Apples and picked a bunch of apples and let Ian pick out some pumpkins. It turned out to be a beautiful day. They give you a wagon, a basket, and an apple picker then you just wander through the orchard, try the apples and if you like that kind then you pick some. It was a ton of fun.
