Portland

Last weekend we headed over to Portland for Independence Day. We started the weekend at the Portland Zoo.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites. It was super nice. Here are a few photos of the Lobby/Atrium. Ian and Ava liked looking at the goldfish in the river, and riding the glass elevator.

Our room was on the top floor, and we had an awesome view. We often found the kids looking out the window.

We also went to the Rose Gardens. It smelled so wonderful.

We finally got a good picture of Ava, she was a grouch all weekend. I'm really sick of teething! This is probably one of her only smiles all weekend.

On Monday morning we went Berry picking. Ian ate more berries than he picked.

Ava liked the chickens the most.

Ian did an awesome job pulling the wagon.

Ava ate her fare share of berries too, she was a mess.
On the 4th we went downtown, and they were having a Blues festival. There was too much smoking and too many people there so we didn't stay long. (Sorry no pictures of downtown.)We had a great time, and highly recommend a trip to Portland. We were sad to leave the beautiful green and head back to the brown desert.
