A CRAZY WEEK......
Fortunately Sandy agreed to fly back with the kids and I from our trip to Utah. The flight was a MESS! We sat on the runway forever, waiting to take off. The plane was so hot Ava started screaming and sweat was running down her face. Then Ian was trying to close the window shade and every time he would pull it down it would pop back up about a 1/3 of the way. He kept doing it over and over, until he got so frustrated he started crying too. Sandy and I just looked at each other and started laughing. What else could you do? Once we got up in the air the lady across the isle immediately ordered some vodka and a bloody Mary mix. Who can blame her sitting across from us? As we were waiting to take off our brakes kept squeaking and we thought when we landed we would go flying through the fields around the airport here with corn flying past our windows, but thankfully we made it safely.
Then on Sunday Dustin and Sandy both woke up with the flu I brought back from Utah. So now I've got 2 adults puking their guts out and 2 other kids to take care of. I felt so bad I got them sick.
So Monday Sandy and I decide to turn things around. We are going to paint a wall in each of the kids bedrooms and make cute curtains for their room. We go and get the supplies and get a great deal on paint that was returned to Lowes. Also we found some cute sheets to make a duvet cover for my bed.
Tuesday we get up, get everything painted and it looks great. Sandy gets the curtains done and they look So cute. Ian kept saying "Blue wall", He absolutely loved it. Then the worst happens. The paint can was sitting on the living room floor and Ava dumps it over. Blue paint everywhere! She's sitting in the middle of it, playing in it with her hands and feet. I pulled into the garage just as it happens and I hear Sandy scream. After hours of scrubbing we decide there is no hope, it has to be replaced. Luckily there was a spare piece in the garage.
The next day, I believe, I kind of got my days mixed up. Anyway, Dustin got into an argument with our creepy landlord over the grass, and now we feel like he is always sneaking around watching us. Super Creepy. To top it off we have pot smokers who live behind us and we can totally smell it. So we decide it is time to move.
That night we get on craigs list and immediately find a house, which is rare in the Tri Cities. So we go check it out and decide we want it. Then we realize we now have to paint over the walls we just painted and made so cute. UGH! But we realized how blessed we are that all this fell into place. That a house was put on Craigs List the very day we needed one. It's funny how life happens some time. Thanks Sandy for a Crazy Fun week. Oh I forgot also this week we put Bitter Nail polish on Ian's nails to get him to stopped sucking on his fingers. Well it worked, but have you ever seen a person in drug rehab? I think this was a similar experience. He was totally having with drawls and was super whiny. If you ever have to wean your kids from finger sucking do it when you don't have company it town.

So glad you found a house, we want to see pictures. Glad that the bitter nails worked for Ian, we'll be investing in that for Jax in the future.
