Riding bike through Red Canyon

July 13-My mom dropped Dustin and I off at the top of Red Canyon and we rode their beach cruisers down the bike trail. It was a blast. The weather was perfect, and it was so quiet and peaceful. I was on the my dad's bike so I beat Dustin down the hill, apparently for some reason, my dad's bike coasts much better than my mom's bike.

We met up with my mom, Ian, and Ava at the visitors center and had a picnic lunch.

Frank

Anybody remember Frank from the movie Cars? Well if you know Ian you would know he is obsessed with that movie. So guess who lives behind my parents house? Yes you guessed it a real Frank. Thankfully my parents have the nicest neighbors ever (the Veaters), and have allowed Ian to go look at Frank on more than one occasion. As luck would have it Ralph was cutting the hay while we were in Panguitch and we ran Ian out there so he could go for a ride. Ian and Grandpa Rupert waiting for Frank to come by.

Here comes Frank...

Ian climbing in the cab...

Ralph was telling my Dad he would take Ian up one length of the field and back again...

Ava and Grandma Net watching Ian..

Today Ian's dream came true...He was able to ride in Frank!

And of course while Ian was riding Frank, Ava played with Ralph's dog...

Fishing

My parents have been fishing at Little Dam for years now. This year Ian has really taken a hold on fishing. He has a little fishing pole he uses, and is Amazing at casting it. While being in Panguitch we have gone fishing so many times. It is so relaxing and peaceful.

Bare with me, these photos are out of order, and some are not the best quality. This first one is one of the fishes my dad caught. Ian even gave it a kiss, gross!

Ava helped reel in this fish. She is still a little too young for fishing. It will be much more fun taking her next summer.

Here is the first fish my dad pulled in. It looks like a prize winner to me!

Right when we got to the first fishing spot, Ian threw in his line, caught a fish, and reeled it in all by himself. He was so excited. It wasn't a bad size fish either. (Sorry this picture is such poor quality, I was so excited for him I didn't even preview the photo.)

Ava and Grandma Net fishing.

I love this photo of the kids. It was so cute how they each had their own fishing poles. It is almost as if they are kids from back in the day who are going fishing by themselves.

Golfing at Mt. Carmel

On July 11th we went golfing with my parents at Mt. Caramel.

The kids absolutely loved it. They loved hitting the balls, and riding in the carts.

Dustin and I are so bad at golfing we didn't even keep score.

Ian and Grandpa Rupert fishing balls out of the pond.

A week at the cabin and the 4th of July

We were at the Cabin July 2nd-10th. We spent the week with Dustin's Grandparents, Andrea, Tori, and Carson. Logan also joined us for part of the week.

On the 4th of July we went over to Panguitch for the kid parade. The kids liked it, especially getting the candy.

We couldn't convince Tori to ride in the Parade.

Mindy and her kids were in the Parade.

Tori like feeding the lamb. She was so cute with them.

We went fishing at Duck Creek Pond. Unfortunately we had zero bites.

I love this photo of Ian and his great grandpa.

What can I say? Tori and Ian had a blast together. I must admit after this week with Andrea's IPhone I believe Ian if officially addicted to Angry Birds. He and Tori were to cute together.

Ian went upstairs and fell asleep with Grandma Sandy.

The best part of the week was having Dustin come up and see us. It had been 3 weeks since we had last seen him. We all missed him so much. The kids would drive me crazy saying "I want dad". All I could say to them was I know I want him too. The night he got there we roasted marshmallows and did sparklers.

While Ava was napping we went on a nice hike along the river.

Ian and Granma Sandy drinking water out of a fresh mountain spring.

After the hike we stopped in the village and got snow cones.

We had a blast at the cabin. Thanks for staying up there with me, Andrea. And thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Stirling for letting us stay so long.
