Pioneer Day and vacation with the Llewellyns

July 20-26 We spent in Utah with our good friend the Llewellyns. I don't know why I don't have any pictures of their kids. (Holly, Matt, will you email me some). We started the trip at the cabin in Duck Creek.  Dustin's parents and neices met us up there.  The boys had so much fun playing outside.  We went on a wonderful hike, and had amazing weather.  We went for a few walks, played card games, and ate amazing food.  Next we went to Panguitch for pioneer day.

Here is the parade...
                                                                                 Jade
                                                                             Jaelyn
                                                  Dustin and Ava

                                             Matt, Brinkley, and Holly

After the parade, my parent's neighbor let Ava ride on their horses.  She was so excited!

That afternoon the town had the Kiddie Races at the park and a small carnival.  Ian won his age group. If you remember last year he tripped on the starting line.  So he was there to redeem himself.

While Matt and Holly were with us, we also rode the bikes through Red Canyon, played some baseball, the boys went fishing, and ate some more great food.  We had a lot of fun with them.  It is too bad we don't get to see them more often.

4th of July

The White Rock Ward hosts an amazing 4th of July for the community.  It starts with the National Anthem, and a prayer.  Then they have a parade, where anyone can participate.
Ian riding his bike in the parade.
Ava on her bike. We had to carry it part of the time because it was too slow, and she was at the back of the parade.

After the parade there was a carnival, with face painting, tons of games, snow cones, and popcorn.

Olivia came home with us after the reunion and spent the following 2 weeks with us.  We had so much fun with her.

 Ava with her popcorn.
Ian has a blue mustache from his snow cone.
This is an amazing event the church puts on for the community. I am grateful we are in such a great ward.

Page Family Reunion

I can't believe how huge my family is!  All of these people came from my grandparents in the middle of the photo.  He is in white and she is in blue.
I stole these photos from my mom and sister Annesa, Thanks guys! Annesa did a great job of going around taking photos of everyone.
We had breakfast at my parents house, then had a luncheon at the church.  Along with a lot of socializing and games.  We needed name tags, to learn the names of our cousins kids. There were around 170 people in attendance.  Which doesn't include everyone but gives you a pretty good idea about how large the family is.
This is my immediate family.  Top left to right: Sydeny, Casey, John, Landon, Michael, My Dad, My Mom, Jaelyn, Josh, Jacob, Zachary, Mindy, Ian, Dustin. Next row: Jaxson, Bryan, Haylee, Emilee, Nicole, Rebecca, Danika, Kennedy, Logan, Sarah, Ava, Holly. Next row and kids on laps: Tate, Samantha, Hannah, Jeffry, Joseph, Lisa, Jonathan, Annesa, Bently, Jade, Tiffany, Jaren, Olivia, Emily. Next row: Cari, Paul. Front row: Quinn, Isabelle, Eden.
Sorry if I spelled names wrong. It is so hard to keep track of everyone.  We are missing Jim and Madison.
Part of the reunion we had a horseshoe tournament.

Annesa, Casey, and my Dad laid new wood floor in the front room.  Everyone was checking out their handy work.
 Bently, Annesa, Holly, Rebecca.

 My Mom and My Grandpa
Ava and Jade.

It was interesting trying to get all of the family lined up for a photos.  I give props to the photographer.

Lego fun in the family room.
 Watching the horseshoe tournament.
Ava and Bently.  Ava saw Bently with her pink blanket so she had to go get her pink blanket.
Paul and Cari brought their huge projector screen to have and outside movie.  We watched Kung Fu Panda 2.
If you look closely you can see Dustin and I kissing in the background. :)
It is amazing what came of two people being in love.  My grandparents, Garn and Rose Page.
My parents did an amazing job hosting the reunion.  It was a lot of work, they had to plan and purchase all of the food, and get it set up.  They had people sleeping in tents in the back yard, and  family coming and going for days.  They were gracious hosts for anyone stopping by.  It made me realize how hardworking my immediate family are, and I appreciate them even more now.  I am happy we decided to go, who knows if we will ever have a reunion of that magnitude again.

Birthday Videos

Here are videos of Ava's birthday....

Ava turns 3!!!

Ava is now 3 years old  She had another birthday in Panguitch. It seems all summer activities have happened during her birthday.  Last year it was Grandpa Hulet's 60th surprise party.  (His birthday is the day before Ava's). This year the family reunion was the day after her birthday.  We debated going up to Utah and at the last minute we decided to go.  We were going to throw her a birthday party here, but when I asked who she wanted to invite, she said Ty, (Ian's friend she love, I often find her talking on her fake phone to Ty.) and Sister Parker (her nursery leader).  I asked her about all the other kids in her Nursery class and she was insistent that all she wanted was Ty and Sister Parker. So I didn't feel bad heading to Utah and having a family party instead.  Unfortunately it was with just my family.  We missed having Dustin's family there.  I didn't take that many photos, so I had to steal some from my Mom.

Ava with cousin Haylee.  Haylee was just as excited about opening presents as Ava was.

Annesa did Ava's nails. They were pink glitter. I don't think anything could have made her happier. She wants me to paint her nails nearly everyday.
Ava dressed up in the skirt she got from Papa and Grandma Sandy, wearing her clip on earrings from Grandma Net and Grandpa Rupert, and new lip gloss.  She is SO girly!
Ava requested a pink super girl cake that tasted like vanilla.  She wants to play super heroes with Ian and his friends, but she has to be wearing her pink super girl cape.
Don't pay attention too closely to the cake, it traveled 9 hours in the car, so it melted a little and to top it off we almost hit a deer. We had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting the deer, and the cake went flying.  I suppose it could have smashed all over the car, I was glad it was still in one piece.

Ava in her new swimsuit she got from the Great Grandparents.
My Mom set up the slip n slide out back and the kids had a blast!

Danika, Jeffry, Ian, Ava, and Jonathon.
Check out how bronze Ian is compared to the rest of the kids.
At 3 Ava is still obsessed with pink.  She loves lip gloss, and play makeup.  She asks me often if she can comb my hair. So in essence she is a girly girl.  However, she loves to play cars and super heroes with Ian as long as she has the girl cars and her pink cape. So I guess it is a good balance.  This summer she has enjoyed swimming at the pool, playing in the sprinklers and helping me pull weeds.  She is excited about having a baby sister, and tells me she has a baby in her belly too.  She wants to name the baby The Little Mermaid, Ariel, and Rapunzel.  Her favorite food is pizza. When she grows up she wants to be a princess.  Her favorite movie is Barbie and the Nutcracker. Ava loves coloring and looking at books. Ava is sort of a recluse, she doesn't play with many other kids. Only Ian and Ty.  At nursery she doesn't play with the other kids, she just watches them and is extremely observant.  She is going to preschool this fall, hopefully she will come out of her shell.  Every morning when she wakes up she comes into my room and say, "Mom, I want sumping (something) to eat!" She is also working on saying her "L's" correctly.  We love having Ava in our family and hope she had a great birthday!
