Catch Up

I've had a bunch of pictures that I needed to blog about so I decided to lump them all into one post.
Starting out: I made pizza last night and while I was cutting up the pizza Ian grabbed the measuring cup full of flour and decided it would be fun to throw it up in the air and have it come down on he and Ava. Here they are after they had brushed some of the flour off...
Oh if you're wondering why Ava is wearing Ian's underwear, it's because she had a diaper rash and I wanted her to air out a bit, and I didn't want her to poop on the floor.

Here is Ava FINALLY starting to try to stand on her own.

Here is Ava on Lasagna Night...Hey at least she can feed herself.
This is a Family Home Evening of coloring and carving pumpkins. Although I didn't take any photos of the end result, I don't know why...
I just noticed Ava is half naked in most of these pictures. I really do dress her, but by the end of the day she wants me to take her shirt off, or I don't want it to get dirty when she is eating dinner.

We made some really yummy pumpkin seeds the next day.

Ian and Ava's new friend. This poor caterpillar was poked and prodded by these two for hours, I'm glad it survived them. It has been out on our patio for the past few days.

Of course, Ava is using her middle finger to touch the caterpillar.

Ian had his first Pre-School field trip to All Seasons Nursery. They had all kinds of animals, a corn maze, a hay bale pyramid, a pumpkin patch, and a hay bale maze. He had a blast.

This donkey looked exactly like Donkey from Shrek.

Ian and Ava on the Hay Bale ride out to the Pumpkin Patch.

They also did a snack time for the kids...

Here is Ian going down the hay bale pyramid.

Ian and Ava are both crawling through this tube that is in the middle of the hay bale pyramid
Can you see the top of Ian's head in the maze? He's wearing the red shirt.

Apple Picking

Last Weekend we went apple picking at Ray French Orchards in Richland. I had to climb up in the trees to get the good apples at the top.

As a side note Ava is obsessed with hats and shoes. Everyday she wants to wear a hat and I have to change her shoes at least 5 times a day. She gets so mad at Ian when he pulls her hats off.

I love this shot of Dustin and Ian.

Here I am back up in a tree. By the time we finished picking it had gotten pretty warm and we all had to shed off our jackets.

We ended up getting Fuji and Golden Delicious apples. There's nothing like a fresh picked apple. If you live in the area I definintely recommend going here.
Also on Sunday's we usually go for a drive to a different area each week. This week we came across this house that Dustin and I both really liked.

"Happy Birthday to you"

Happy 3rd Birthday Ian!

Race on over to Ian's 3rd Birthday...
We celebrated Ian's birthday today, eventhough his birthday isn't until tomorrow.
Ian the night before his Birthday Party, with his Lightning Mcqeen cake...
This was the first time I've ever used fondant, it was an interesting experience. I think we figured this cake took about 4 hours to make. It made Ian super happy so it was well worth the time. Just don't look too close at it, or you'll see all my mistakes...

Here is his racing flags, Happy Birthday banner, if you can't read what it says...

The morning of Ian's party, he can't wait for his friends to get here. Unfortunatly only two of the 5 friends could make it.

It's time for Mater Pinata...

Ava had to show up all the boys and knock the candy out...

Here goes the Big race with Colby/Lightning Mcqueen; Dashall/Chick Hicks; and Ian/The King...

On your mark, get set, GO....

Here comes Ian bringing up the rear...

Present Time.... I didn't get a picture of him opening each of his presents because the other boys kept getting in the way. But at least I got a few...

Blowing out the candles

Ian trying his yummy Red Velvet cake.

I'm so glad Ian's friends could come over, it made his birthday really fun. Thanks to all the Grandparents and Great-Grandparents for the gifts, we wish you could have been here.
