Ian Rocking Out

Ian seems to like Rockband more than Dustin and I, at least the drums. It was so hard to get the drum sticks away from him. He suprisingly has pretty good beat, unlike his mom.

Also last night we were able to get him to sleep on his crib mattress on the floor, (trying to prepare for the new baby). When we first laid him down he was a little freaked out and ran out crying, but we persisted to lay him back down and tell him it was time for bed. He wouldn't stay on the bed until I laid down by him. I laid there for probably two minutes until he was calm then told him goodnight and left. We didn't hear another peep out of him until this morning, where he stayed in his room until we went and got him. It was amazing that it actually worked. We're hoping he doesn't figure out he can just get up and play with his toys. We'll see though.

Dustin's Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUSTIN!!! Today is Dustin's 28th Birthday. We finally broke down and bought the Wii for his birthday (more pictures to come of Rock Band). Today is also the first time we've had to hire a babysitter so we can go out to dinner by ourselves. We have always been so lucky to have family around to watch Ian. We'll see how it goes. I made him a homemade cheesecake because, those of you who know him, know he hates cake. Ian really loved the candles, he kept saying "oooooooh". I hope you had a great day Dustin. Love Ya!

"It's Not Easy Being Big"

We have to read Ian this book at least 5 times a day. We are getting soooo sick of it!

Ideas

I need help from everyone. I need some ideas of what I can do with Ian during the day. Annesa gave me some awesome ideas but I need more. I think I bore him. One idea Annesa had was to get sidewalk chalk. Lucky for me it was in the dollar section in Target. That idea was a great success as you can see from the pictures. I would really appreciate the help. Ian The Builder

Sandy and Gary sent Ian a Bob the Builder tool belt and hat. I can't believe how much he loves it!!! He gets so mad at me when I have to take his tool belt off! Thanks for the great gift.
