Colorado Springs

This past weekend we drove to Colorado Springs to watch the UNLV/Air Force basketball game. We had a blast. The game was very intense. The Rebels barely pulled off the win in overtime. The kids were amazing at the game. Ian and Ava were some of the first 700 kids in the game so they got Air Force basketball jerseys. Dustin said that is the only jersey he would ever let them wear besides UNLV, because we love and respect the military so much.
On Sunday we went to Sacrament meeting in a random LDS church at 11:00 am. When we walked into the chapel we noticed there weren't any kids. It soon dawned on us that we were in a singles ward. That was a bit awkward. As for you who have been in a singles ward you know it is so quiet that you can hear a pin drop. Unfortunately Ian and Ava are not the most quiet kids during church, but we tried our hardest to keep them quiet. However, during the sacrament, they forgot to give our row the bread. So Ian says, quite loudly, "Hey they skipped us, how come we didn't get any bread", then Ava chimes in, "I want some bread". They kept saying these things over and over. This wouldn't have affected me so much in a family ward. But in the silence of the singles ward, I could not help but start cracking up, which turned into a laugh attack. Why is it during the times you are supposed to be the most reverent, laugh attacks come upon you? I tried to pull myself together before the water came around, but it was difficult.
Here are few photos we took on Sunday of the Air Force Academy campus. This is the church on campus, which has areas inside for 5 or 6 different religions.

That is so cool!! I love that you have laugh attacks at church too. Happens all the time. I am so jealous that you can just pick up and go on a road trip...someday Bentley will learn to behave and enjoy watching movies in the car so we can actually drive further than Ken's school.
